Paneer tikka masala

Paneer is the most common type of cheese used in traditional cuisines from the Indian continent. Most International fast food restaurants in India offers paneer based food.

ingredients for paneer tikka masala:

  • paneer: 250 gram
  • curd: 1 small cup
  • onion: 2 medium sized
  • capsicum: 1 medium sized
  • tomato puree: 1 cup
  • ginger-garlic paste: 2 tablespoon
  • green chili: 3 chopped
  • lemon juice: 2 tablespoon
  • cumin: 1 teaspoon
  • oil: 5 tablespoon
  • sugar: 2 tablespoon
  • cashew: 10
  • red chili powder: 2 tablespoon
  • turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
  • cumin-coriander powder: 1 tablespoon
  • dry fenugreek powder: 1 teaspoon
  • ground spice powder: 1 tablespoon
  • gram flour: 2 tablespoons roasted
  • butter: 3 tablespoon
  • asafoetida: a pinch
  • bay leaf: 1
  • clove: 2
  • cinnamon: 1 inch
  • salt to taste

How to prepare paneer tikka:

  1.  First of all, need to chop the paneer into square cubes, 1 medium-size onion, and capsicum,
  2. Cut the paneer into 2 inches thick piece,
  3. Now, make masala for a coat the paneer,
  4. In a bowl, take curd, roasted gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric, cumin-coriander powder and salt to taste, 1/2 teaspoon ground spice powder, 1tablespoon oil, 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste, mix nicely and make a light paste,
  5. Add paneer cubes, thickly chopped capsicum, thickly chopped onion and coat everyone with this masala paste gently,
  6. cover with the lid and leave it to marinate in a refrigerator for 20 minutes,
  7. After that heat the non-stick pan and add 2 tablespoon oil on medium flame, roast all the coated paneer, capsicum, and onion, one by one both side by flipping, roast them until it becomes golden brown, take them out in a plate and keep aside,
  8. so paneer tikka is ready.

how to prepare paneer tikka masala:

  1. In a pan, heat the remaining oil and add green chili, 1 medium size chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, and cashew, stir it for 2 minutes on medium flame,
  2. After that turn off the flame and keep it aside to cool down for 15-20 minutes,
  3. Then take it in a grinder jar and make a smooth paste,
  4. Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, clove, cinnamon, bay leaf, turmeric powder, cumin-coriander leaves, red chili powder, blended paste and mix it well,
  5. cover the pan with a lid and cook for 2 minutes on low flame,
  6. open the lid and stir it again, add tomato puree, sugar, lemon juice and 1/2 glass of water as you required thickness,
  7. adjust the thickness as per your choice, add salt to taste and stirring continuously till the gravy thickness,
  8. cook it for 5 minutes and then add roasted paneer tikka, onion, capsicum and dry fenugreek powder, mix it gently, cover the pan for 1 minute to cook all the paneer tikka masala,
  9. garnish with butter cubes and chopped coriander leaves.
  10. serve with butter roti or paratha.
