A very crispy samosa chaat recipe for all time favorite snack from north India, samosa chaat contains chickpeas gravy, samosa and various chutneys.

Ingredients for SAMOSA CHAAT:

  • Chickpeas: 1 cup boiled
  • Tomatoes: 2 medium sizes finely chopped
  • Oil: 3 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger-Garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
  • Bay leaf: 1
  • Black cardamom: 1
  • Green chili: 1 tablespoon chopped
  • Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder: 3 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoon
  • Ground spice powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Chole Spice powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Black salt: 2 teaspoon
  • Samosa: 4 piece
  • Onion: 1 medium size finely chopped
  • Nylon sev: 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves: 1 cup finely chopped
  • Yogurt: 1 cup
  • Fruit spice powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Green chutney: 2 tablespoon
  • Tamarind chutney: 2 tablespoon
  • Red garlic chutney: 1 tablespoon

How to make SAMOSA CHAAT:

  1. First of all, need to make gravy, so heat the oil in a deep pan over medium heat, add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste, and chopped green chili.
  2. After that, Saute them and add bay leaf and black cardamom, saute again well for 2 minutes.
  3. Add finely chopped tomatoes and saute them till they become soft and mushy.
  4. To be sure, cook them on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes and keep stirring in between.
  5. Once the tomato gravy leaves the oil from it turn the flame low and add turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons of red chili powder, ground spice powder, 1 tablespoon of black salt, chole spice powder and salt to taste.
  6. Altogether mix nicely, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
  7. With attention to mix well and little mash the chickpeas with a potato masher or serving spoon, add 1 or 1/2 cup of water or stock of chickpeas and make a thick gravy.
  8. Consequently, the chickpeas gravy is ready, Keep the pan aside to cool down.
  9. Even more, take 2 samosas and break them into small pieces in a plate or a bowl.
  10. Furthermore, Pour the 2-3 serving spoon of chickpeas gravy over the pieces of samosa, add little finely chopped onion.
  11. Moreover evenly pour the tamarind chutney, green chutney, and red-garlic chutney as per your taste.
  12. Over these chutneys, pour the 2 tablespoons of yogurt and sprinkle some fruit spice powder, red chili powder, black salt, and lemon juice as per your taste.
  13. Also, sprinkle some nylon sev and chopped coriander leaves.
  14. As a result, the samosa chaat is ready.
