A veg burger or veg Tikki burger is a bun, stuffed with different vegetables and in addition, different types of sauces like mayonnaise and chutneys are added to give it a crispy and mouthwatering taste.

Ingredients for BURGER TIKKI:

  • Potato: 3 medium sizes boiled
  • Mix veggies(carrot,beans,capsicum,cauliflower,peas,onion,corn): 1 cup boiled
  • Corn flour: 3 tablespoons
  • Breadcrumbs: 1 cup (250 gram)
  • Green chili: finely chopped
  • Red chili powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Ground spice powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Dry ginger powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves: 1 cup chopped
  • Oil to shallow fry

Ingredients for BURGER:

  • Bun: 2 round
  • Butter: 3 tablespoon
  • Onion: 1 medium size
  • Tomato: 1 medium size
  • Cabbage/lettuce: 1 cup finely chopped
  • Tomato catchup: 2 tablespoon
  • Chili sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Green Chutney 2 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise: 4 tablespoon
  • Fruit spice powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Cheese slice: 2

How to make BURGER TIKKI:

  1. Firstly, in a deep bowl take the boiled potatoes and gently mash them, add mix boiled veggies and mash them also.
  2. After that 1 tablespoon of corn flour, 1 tablespoon of breadcrumbs, finely chopped green chili, red chili powder, ground spice powder, black pepper powder, dry ginger powder, salt to taste, and fresh chopped coriander leaves.
  3. Altogether mix well and make a Tikki in round shape with greased palms.
  4. Basically, same way makes all the Tikkies and keeps it on a plate.
  5. Together with, make a slurry for Tikkies, in a plate take 2 tablespoons of cornflour and 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour, add some water and make a little thick slurry.
  6. Another side, take the breadcrumbs in a plate.
  7. So, take one Tikki, deep it into a slurry then cover it with the breadcrumbs well.
  8. As well as, heat up the 4-5 tablespoons of oil on medium flame and directly place the Tikki into the oil.
  9. Shallow Fry the Tikki on a medium flame for 2 minutes and flip it then again shallow fry another side well.
  10. Keep them out on a kitchen towel and shallow fry all the Tikkies same way.
  11. Finally, the Tikkies are ready to keep them aside.

How to make VEG BURGER:

  1. Furthermore, cut the thin slice of tomato and same way slice up the onion.
  2. Now cut the bun into two pieces from the middle.
  3. Apply the butter inside of the bun and lightly toast the bun with butter.
  4. On the bottom portion applies tomato catchup and chili sauce.
  5. Another side in a small bowl, add black pepper powder and fruit spice powder, mix it nicely and keep aside.
  6. Then place the sliced onion on top of the sauces, sprinkle some spice powder and then place the Tikki.
  7. After that, on top of the Tikki, place the cheese slice, tomato slices and sprinkle some spice powder that made early.
  8. In addition, take the chopped cabbage, add the mayonnaise and spice powder, mix all well.
  9. Put 1 tablespoon of this mixture and spread on top of the burger.
  10. Now take the top slice of bun, spread some green chutney and place it on top.
  11. As a result is the veg burger is ready.
