YOGURT PUDI CHAAT

Yogurt Pudi Chaat 

is also known as Dahi Puri chaat, Yogurt Pudi Chaat is very popular Indian street chaat that filled with potatoes, chickpeas, onion, tomatoes, and sweet tamarind chutney, green chutney, and some spice powders.

Ingredients for yogurt Pudi chaat:

  • Puffed Pudi: 15-16
  • Yogurt: 1 cup
  • Onion: 1 medium size finely chopped
  • Tomato: 1 medium size finely chopped
  • Potato: 1 medium size boiled, finely chopped
  • Black chickpeas: ½ cup boiled
  • Nylon Sev: 1 cup
  • Fruit spice powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Black salt: ½ tablespoon
  • Cumin powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice: 3 tablespoon
  • Black pepper powder: ½ tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chili: 1 finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves: 1 cup finely chopped
  • Tamarind chutney: 1 cup
  • Green chili-coriander chutney: 1 cup

How to prepare yogurt Pudi chaat:

  1. Take a plate, place 6-8 puffed Pudi and shell is  first broke on the top section and make a hole,
  2. Now mash the boiled potato in a bowl and add boiled chickpeas, green chili, salt to taste and 1 tablespoon of green chutney, and keep aside,
  3. In a small bowl add whole black salt, cumin powder, black pepper powder, and salt to taste, mix nicely well and make a spice sprinkle powder,
  4. Now keep this spice sprinkle powder aside,
  5. Put the potato mixture in holed Pudi, put just around a half teaspoon,
  6. Next to add finely chopped onions, and tomatoes, sprinkle a pinch of spice sprinkle powder in every stuffed Pudi,
  7. Then add sweet and sour yogurt in every Pudi around a ½ teaspoon, over the yogurt put tamarind chutney and green chutney as per your taste,
  8. Spread nylon sev over both chutneys and again put the yogurt over the nylon sev,
  9. Again make a thin layer of nylon sev over the yogurt and sprinkle some fruit spice powder and spice sprinkle powder that we made in 3rd step,
  10. Garnish the yogurt Pudi with coriander leaves and finely chopped onion and the small amount of sweet and sour yogurt.
  11. Serve with mint water or as it is the mouthwatering yogurt Pudi.
